Turtle Actives Spring Fundraising Drive for South African School

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

In keeping with the core service principle of Tau Sigma Chi, I’m proud to forward this request for funding assistance for the Turtle actives spring project. If you want to make a more sizable donation and/or desire to donate through a recognized IRS tax deductible organization, send your check to the Tau Sigma Chi Alumni Association c/o Harry Flanagan, TEXAA Treasurer, 1024 Oaktree Trail, Lake Villa, IL 60046. Please note the funds are for the Nkume Primary School. In turn the Alumni Association will send in one check with all donated funds.

Kurt Lehrmann, President TEXAA

The Turtles and Carthage Greek life is banding together to raise $10,000 to donate to the Nkume Primary School in South Africa. We are using GoFundMe.come to collect the money. This is the link to the fundraiser: https://www.gofundme.com/nkume-primary-school-fundraiser?sharetype=teams&member=41534&rcid=r01-152250703894-52e2023d8aec4efa&pc=ot_co_campmgmt_w . We need to wrap up the campaign before we leave for summer so it’s ending mid-May. We are very lucky to have an alumni network as involved with our activities as you all have been.

Working on a new logo!

The Alumni Association is working on a new logo. Here’s a preview:

Here’s some additional info regarding the logo.

It’s really a logo for the Alumni Association, so we’re not really messing with the frat’s original logo. Also, we needed to ‘update’ it, because no one could locate the origial artwork!

The Greek translates as “You bet your sweet ass!”

We just added a new “Donations” page to the website (see Menu at top of page).

Since we recently got our 501(c)3 designation, all donations are tax deductible.

We’re also working on adding a PayPal account/link to make donating even easier.
